About Tysoe Village Hall
Thank you for considering Tysoe Village Hall for your upcoming event - or for planning a visit to an event at the hall.
The Hall was founded in 1929 by Canon C T Bernard McNulty, The Canon of Coventry and Vicar of Tysoe 1924 – 1934 and who is buried in St Mary’s Tysoe.
Tysoe Village Hall Trust is a charity, registered by the Charity Commission, number 523027
Having identified a need for a venue for public meetings and enjoyment, his inspiration and effort ensured that the existing building was designed and built within 2 years – all paid for through local private donations. The Hall was officially opened on 18th January 1930. Those interested in learning more about the history of the hall are guided to read the excellent research carried out by the Tysoe History Research Group.
Tysoe Village Hall now comprises three separate spaces which can be hired individually, or together, to suit the needs of the hirer and provides a welcoming, accessible and affordable community village venue.
The ceiling is vaulted, giving a light and airy feel and allowing a wide range of uses, from parties, talks, cinema and childrens parties - including indoor inflatable equipment. The hall regularly hosts fitness groups such as pilates and yoga, the Women's Institute, indoor bowls - as well as celebrations such as weddings, anniversaries and childrens parties.
We host a wide variety of public and private events.
Paul and Heather Dowler, who run the highly their successful Dementia Cafe at the hall, hosted a Cream Tea with Jazz event. The hall was packed to the sounds of Paul's band Jazz59 - a fun afternoon packed with music, good food and laughter.
Prior to that, Tysoe's quizzers came out in force to raise funds for local charity Carers4Carers.
And to celebrate the Christmas season a pantomime rendition of Treasure Island - to a packed audience.
In December 2023 the TADA (Tysoe Amateur Dramatics Association) and Jazz59 filled the hall as they performed their "Swing into Christmas" sell out shows.
We have a fantastic facility, which can be configured in so many ways please take a look at our facilities and see how they can work for your next event.
