Jennie Ann Rake designs and hand knits a range of knitwear and accessories featuring authentic Fair Isle patterns. She launched her cottage industry in 2016 with unique cushions but moved on to garments when one craft event organiser suggested a waistcoat on display at the next fair might generate interest and commissions.

Penny Varley Ceramics

After first getting a taste for pottery in the 1980's Penny gave up the day job in the Civil Service in 2005 to pursue her passion for creating with clay. Following a discussion with her husband which revolved around the number of pots they had in their small terraced house they decided to move to Tysoe where they found the perfect setting for her studio. A large garden with a fantastic view, a lovely supportive village community and space to build the studio in the garden spurred her on to follow her passion for ceramics, and explore her inner creativity. Penny has exhibited and sold at the Ashmolean Oxford, Compton Verney, Oxfordshire Artweeks and Warwickshire Open Studios.
