For over 15 years, The National Theatre has given their audience the best seat in the house.

They film unmissable theatre live from Britain’s most exciting stages and screen it in thousands of cinemas around the globe with their productions seen by an audience of over 12 million people. When watching a National Theatre Live, you’ll always be at the heart of the action, watching the drama unfold on the big screen - without the time and cost of a trip to the West End. Their state-of-the-art filming techniques are tailored to every play, bringing you each performance as it happens, in all its glory.

From close-ups that capture tiny flickers of emotion, to sweeping wide shots, their team captures it all.

Following the outstanding support of Tysoe's villagers through multiple fundraising events, the hall's newly upgraded audio visual equipment has passed the National Theatre's strict technical requirements. We expect showings to be very popular, drawing an audience not only from Tysoe, but also the surrounding villages.

The NT controls which plays are available to cinemas for screening, so please be sure to subscribe to our email list to ensure that you remain updated on the programme as it unfurls through 2025.

We look forward to welcoming you to our friendly village hall where you can enjoy world-class theatre, a glass of wine or a freshly made tea or coffee, in a relaxed atmosphere.
