Tysoe Village Hall is an ideal place to hold a funeral and/or a funeral tea. It’s ideally located for Tysoe families and those of surrounding villages, as well as families using Sun Rising Natural Burial Ground who want more space or facilities than the Longhouse can offer.
For the service itself, you could have a civil or humanist celebrant, a minister from church or the service could be led by family and friends. The hall can be laid out more formally, with the coffin up front and rows of chairs, or in a more informal circle or horseshoe around the coffin. The hall is equipped with high-quality audio-visual equipment, not just for amplification, but also for showing video or photographs. With advance notice the hall team can provide guidance with configuring the equipment. The reliable Wi-Fi allows for streaming to those who can’t attend in person, ensuring everyone can be part of the event.
The maximum number of chairs in the main hall is 100.
Whether the service takes place in the hall, or elsewhere, the tea (refreshments) can be held in the hall too. The well-equipped kitchen is a great resource, whether you choose to hire a caterer or handle it all yourself. Tables and chairs can be set out for a sit-down meal, buffet or standing gathering. The interconnected Social Club, by prior arrangement, can provide a bar for those who would like to offer alcohol too.
The hall can be decorated with flowers and photographs for a perfect celebration of a loved one’s life.

- Day charge (up to 7 hrs) to allow time for setup and decoration, the service and funeral tea and clear up at the end - £200
- Half day charge (up to 3 ½ hours) to allow time for setup and decoration, the service or funeral tea and clear up at the end - £100
