The Tysoe Heritage Research Group (THRG) is planning a major review of the famous Red Horse of Tysoe with a series of talks in the Village Hall on Saturday 19th July 2025 - 9.45am - 12.50pm

Talks will cover the following themes:

  • Questions about the Red Horse - the data available
  • The Red Horse of Tysoe in the context of UK hill art
  • The environment of the escarpment through the ages
  • The significance and role of horses in history
  • A timeline of the Red Horse's history and investigation
  • The legacy of Kenneth Carrdus and Graham Miller
  • Excavation and geophysics of the Red Horse
  • Summing up and questions

Admission is free but donations will be welcome. For a small charge, refreshments will be available courtesy of the Tysoe WI.
